In accordance with FAR Part 6.305(a) Availability of Justification, MARCORSYSCOM is making publicly available the J&A for use of other than full and open competition the procurement of commercial 5.56mm Small Arms Suppressor to be used on the following weapon systems: M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle (IAR), M4 Carbine and M4A1 Close Quarter Battle Weapon.
As well as logistical warehouse support for multiple programs to include, Deployable Ku Earth Terminal (DKET), Secure Internet Protocol Router and Non-classified Internet Protocol Router (SIPR/NIPR) Access Point (SNAP), Micro Very Small Aperture Terminal (mVSAT), Ground to Air Transmit and Receive (GATR), United States Marine Corps (USMC) Very Small Aperture Terminal System (VSATs), Transportable Tactical Command Communications (T2C2), Agile Communication
The purpose of this non-personal services task order is to provide three (3) MQ-9 Pilot flight instructors and three (3) MQ-9 Sensor Operator flight instructors to augment the small amount of USMC instructors to facilitate student throughput at MCAS Cherry Point. Duties will include live flight instruction, simulator instruction, ground academic instruction and Aviation Training Form (ATF), and academic record keeping.
The KAC Small Arms Suppressor will enable the USMC to continue to use their existing bayonets, as well as their existing Small Arms Collimators (SAC), Laser Boresights (LBS), and Blank Firing Adapters (BFA), all of which are critical to accuracy and lethality in both training and combat. These items are interoperable with the current Small Arms Suppressor.
This requirement is for the acquisition of research and development (R&D) support services to build, integrate, and test an airborne-sensor system which provides a unique capability for conducting precise, high-resolution day/night surveillance of large areas, in a configuration meeting the extremely tight size, weight, and power constraints of the Navy/USMC Small Tactical Unmanned Air System (STUAS) aircraft.
