Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative Inc., Hughesville, Maryland, has been awarded an estimated $117,004,772 regulated tariff contract for ownership, operation, and maintenance of the electric utility system at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, Maryland. This was a competitive acquisition with four responses received. This is a 50-year contract with no option periods. The performance completion date is Oct. 11, 2074.

The contractor shall provide sewage pumping, collection, dispostal and transportation services and cleaning of sewage utility systems at the U.S. Naval Air Field Atsugi, Japan.

The Fire Protection Systems are station wide and the Utility Distribution Systems is on the Pier Complex.The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials and equipment to provide preventive maintenance and repair for Naval Weapons Station Earle’s (NWSE) Fire Protection and Utility Distribution Systems. The contract term will be a base period of one year plus four one-year option periods.
