Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Genome-Wide SNP and Genetic Variant Information ServiceThe National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Psomagen, Inc., 1330 Piccard Drive, Ste 103, Rockville, MD 20850.In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the required services as no other source has been identified who can provide the requirement listed
This effort is required to support a national VA grant titled VA Seq COVID-19 variant sequencing project for sequencing of COVID samples from national VA COVID biorepositories. We anticipate substantial work in this area which requires equipment that provides high throughput workflow and efficient RNA extraction from COVID samples. The extraction method must yield high quality and highly concentrated RNA sufficient for sequencing downstream.

Service requests are entered into the GSA National Computerized Maintenance Management System (NCMMS), a variant of IBM Maximo™. The NCMMS generates a Work Request (WR) ticket that is transmitted to the service provider. The WR is tracked and completed within the NCMMS. The use of the NCMMS to document all service requests is mandatory at all GSA owned and operated sites.
