Closing Date: June 22, 2017 Description: SUB-BID REQUESTED FOR WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT FLOOD MITIGATION IMPROVEMENTSBID DATE 06/22/17 @ 2:00PM PEASE & SONS, INC.Project Description: Work to prevent water damage to the water pollution control plant during a flood within a recurrence interval of 100 years. Includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Raise the top of the 2ndary clarifier scum pump 2.
coupling adapters and piping in Return Activated Sludge Pump Station No. 1 (RASPS1); Coating of metallic piping, valves, pumps, motors and couplings as indicated on the Drawings in RASPS1; Installation of two new bridge cranes in RASPS1; Rehabilitation of floor drains in RASPS1; Replacement of the supply and exhaust fans and associated duct in the RASPS1 pump rooms; Mitigation of water intrusion at the east wall and replacement of sidewalk and steps
Mitigation of water intrusion in the building, mainly flooding of the basement; 2. Bringing outside air into the building through the HVAC system; 3. Bringing the building up to current ADA building code; and 4. Any structural alterations to the building required in order to address points 1-3 above. The total project budget is approximately $7 million dollars, of which roughly $6 million dollars is for construction.
All options shall be lump sum and shall incorporate all associated costs including, mobilization, storm water BMPs, traffic control, and hazardous mitigation (alternate options 2 or 3).
