The City of Thousand Oaks invites proposals and pricing from qualified consultants for the City’s water and wastewater cost of service studies, financial plan updates, and rate studies.
The City is in need of a Water, Solid Waste, and Sewer rate study to ensure that the current rates are sufficient and will allow the City to meet its financial obligations and ensure long term stability. RFP: 2024 - City Controller - Water Solid Waste and Sewer Rate Study RFP
Similar studies of water and stormwater utility rates may follow. Successful firms must be licensed under the laws of the State of Washington.This rate study is intended to (1) analyze current and expected cost burdens against the existing rate structure, (2) evaluate rate equity within the system, and (3) provide rate recommendations designed to fully fund utility expenditures for 20 years.
