BF SISK SAFETY OF DAMS (SOD) MODIFICATIONS, PHASE I, This phase includes construction of shear keys, stability berms, and spillway modification. The project will address issues with the select foundation materials that the dam was built upon and will help prevent destabilization of the dam embankment, reduce safety concerns, and maintain water supply deliveries to State and Federal contractors in the event of seismic activity.
Complete repairs to the dam so as to bring the dam into compliance with DCR regulations and to protect public safety and water supply functions. The sprinkler system shall be designed using a minimum design area of 1,500SF and a water supply safety factor of 10%. All piping shall meet NFPA 13 and P-100 requirements. Fittings shall be cast iron or malleable threaded fittings. Threadable lightwall/thinwall pipe, Flex heads, Mechanical T's and double escutcheon heads shall not be used.The estimated cost range for all work is between $250,000 and $5000,000.
