The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia intends to procure Waterjet Impeller Shaft Assembly on a Sole Source basis from Defense Maritime Solutions. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and award with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) (1) (i).
NSWCPD has a requirement for the repair of Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 2 class waterjet and impeller shaft assemblies on behalf of the NAVSES05Z 2SCOG Program. It is the Government's intention to procure these repair services utilizing Other than Full and Open Competition, from Warsila Defense, Inc. (WDI) IAW FAR 6.302-1, as only WDI can meet the Government's requirements.
Solicitation was issued 09 December 2020 to Wartsila Defense, Inc. Closing date is 08 January 2021.
MSC has a requirement to procure waterjet parts for associated with WÄRTSILÄ WLD 1400SR Water Jet Propulsion Systems, including but not limited to, service to Jetavator, impeller shaft and sealing unit, thrust bearing, hydraulic steering system, hydraulic reversing system, lubrication system, monitoring and control systems, and safety devices and structural support on T-EPF Class Vessels worldwide.
