MACE will be designed with Weapons Open System Architecture (WOSA) and government-owned interfaces to permit rapid and affordable future upgrades and enable multi-variant production.
This acquisition is to provide iHAWK system and maintenance. The anticipated award date is 4 June 2021.This requirement is for: The item to be acquired is a iHawk System with RedHawk 7.5 along with necessary PCIe cards, drivers and packages. The purpose of the iHawk is to simulate Weapon Open System Architecture (WOSA) compliant domains and send data over physical interfaces to the GMI munition data bus emulator.
This RFI is issued to identify industry partners that are developing and/or integrating Directed Energy Weapons Systems (DEWS) or DEWS components. The U.S. Government is seeking industry input to the emerging DEWS Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) Reference Architecture (DEWS MOSA RA, hereafter referred to as “DEWS MOSA RA”) that is intended to shape future DEWS development and acquisition.
The USG-owned ICDs will expand the Weapon Open Systems Architecture in order to maximize flexibility and minimize lifecycle costs. Note, the Systems Design Integrator will forfeit participating in any future production contracts. 2.2 The Sub-System Designers will design shock-hardened embedded initiation systems capable of meeting harsh penetration environments and/or propose and incorporate engineering changes to the USG-owned ESAM.
