Phase 2 of the project consists of a redevelopment plan for the Wellston Station building and surrounding area. It is contemplated that beyond the stabilization required in Phase I, redevelopment of the building into an appropriate land use will occur. The Wellston Station building is a St. Louis City Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Louis (LRA) is seeking Proposals from qualified developers to purchase and redevelop the former Wellston Station building. This project is currently funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administered by the Community Development Administration (CDA). The project has limited funds available which can be made available to the developer for the use of this project.
