While the Navy has the Northrop Corporation Product Function Specification for the F-5 Wheel Braking Skid Control System, the information contained within does not provide the required detail or build-to-print drawings / schematics of the above referenced part numbers that would provide for competitive solicitation of the Government’s requirement. 

A four (4) sensor, four (4) modulator anti-lock braking system (ABS) shall be installed on the front and rear axles in order to prevent the brakes from locking or skidding while braking during hard stops or on icy or wet surfaces. This in turn shall allow the driver to maintain steering control under heavy braking and in most instances, shorten the braking distance.
