OCtech intends to purchase an AgieCharmilles Cut E 350 Jobshop Wire EDM machine from GF Machining Solutions. The AgieCharmilles Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM) are critical pieces of equipment in our local manufacturing area. Six of our local manufacturing partners are utilizing 36 AgieCharmilles EDM machines so we have not only the OEM maintenance support but six industry partnerships to contact if need be.

Wire EDM (electrical discharge machining) Cutting Machine Project Description :The Saguenay site of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) wants to acquire a wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) cutting tool with all the components necessary for its proper operation. The NRC’s Saguenay site wants to meet its needs for producing samples with consistent dimensions and geometric characteristics that meet the required specifications.

Quoters shall provide evidence of possessing knowledge regarding AMSTech AW5 Wire EDM Machines.(2) Corporate Experience: Quoters shall submit with their quotation a list of two (2) contracts completed during the past five (5) years and / or contracts awarded currently in process that are similar in nature to the Statement of Work to demonstrate Corporate Experience.

Synopsis:NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Wire EDM and Supporting Equipment. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to GF Machining Solutions LLC, 560 Bond ST, Lincolnshire, Illinois 60069-4207 United States under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that GF Machining Solutions LLC is the sole provider of Wire EDM and Supporting Equipment.NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort.
