The goal of this solicitation is to update VITAs broadband service offerings with additional broadband technologies and services through both wireline and wireless internet service providers, drive to better pricing through increased competition by including local and regional competitive local exchange carriers and easily expand the coverage areas where broadband internet services are available on state contracts.
Many municipal facilities as well as rural residential and business customers located in under-serviced areas of the community rely on this Wireless Broadband infrastructure. Maintaining and managing the Network will involve continuing to remove and replace older access point equipment with new Ubiquity equipment.
