Attachment RFQ 17A 230215-187A contains the specifications, delivery information, instructions on how to enter the cost per pol and a list of required bid documents for Wooden Utility Poles. Bids received without all required bid documents may be rejected.
1.1 Scope: It is the intent of the City of Columbus, Department of Public Utilities, Division Power to obtain formal bids to establish a contract for the one time purchase of various Wooden Utility Poles. The poles will be used for new installations and to maintain daily operations within the City of Columbus. 1.2 Classification: The contract(s) resulting from this proposal will provide for the purchase and delivery of Wooden Utility Poles.
Each proposal and supporting documentation must be in a sealed envelope or container plainly labeled in the lower left-hand corner: " LP&L Wooden Utility Pole Disposal Services - Annual Pricing" and the closing date and time. Offerors must also include their company name and address on the outside of the envelope or container.
Replace Utility Poles: Replace twenty (20) 70’ wooden utility poles on Atlantic Street with 70’ pre-stressed concrete poles. The project location extends along Atlantic St from Main Gate Way to 2nd Street at Dover AFB, DE.
Replace nine (9) 70’ wooden utility poles on Atlantic Street with 70’ pre-stressed concrete poles. The project location is in the vicinity of the North Electrical Substation and along Atlantic and Paris Streets on Dover AFB, DE.
The base bid for this project is to provide and install wooden utility poles, attach light fixtures, associated conduit and circuits, GFCI outlets, chain link security fencing, locks, and a steel tube gate. There is an optional item for providing and placing additional stone at the site.
Salient characteristics are as follows: Poles All poles need to be treated wooden utility poles set 8 to 10 feet deep with backfill tamped. All corner, end, and angle poles need to be anchored with galvanized steel screw-in or bust-out type anchors using 3/8" aircraft cable. Guy wires will be marked with yellow safety covers.
