This procurement is for new OEM medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts) for VA Medical Centers. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable.
(iv) The US Government, Veterans Affairs (VA) seeks to make procurement for a Wound VAC System (v) This solicitation is set aside for all Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) using NAICS Code 339112 having a size standard of 1,000 employees.
Wound VAC service Requirement: This requirement is for annual service and preventative maintenance of 31 V.A.C Ulta Therapy Units at Edward Hines Jr. Hospital. 2. Background: Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital is the largest VA in Illinois and treats over 44,000 veterans that include 6 community-based outpatient clinics.

(b) Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts), verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM.
The contractor shall be paid only for actual use of the wound vac, not for storage of the wound vac. ****Lost wound Vacs: If a wound vac is lost or not returned to the vendor, the wound vac will be placed in the vendor s system as missing per the date after discharge of the patient or the date it is discovered missing. The price to replace the wound vac will be pro-rated according to manufactured date and replacement cost of the wound vac.
