INSTALLATION REKOR VIDEO DETECTION SYSTEM

The City of Torrington is accepting sealed proposals to supply and install a new REKOR video detection system at two (2) locations: (Site A) - To supply and installation of two REKOR cameras and its system at the intersection of Albert Street and South Main Street (Route 800): A SEPARATE PROPOSAL (Site B) To supply and installation two REKOR video detection cameras and its system at second location: Lawrence Square located at North Elm Street (Route 4) and Main Street (Route 800) Torrington, CT 06790. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, cabling, conduit, servers, software/licensing, network equipment, programming, system commissioning, As-build drawings, training, permits, inside freight/shipping fees required in accordance with the specifications. This Contract will consist of a proposal for each site for the purchase of brand-new equipment with full installation for each. Used or open boxes will not be accepted. Product information sheets for ALL materials

must be provided with submitted proposals. Proposals will be received at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, City Hall, 140 Main Street, Room 206, Torrington, Connecticut 06790 until April 19, 2024 by 11:00 AM. Proposals received later than date and time specified will be rejected and returned unopened. One (1) original and two (2) exact copies shall be placed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “RFP VDS-024-041924 INSTALLATION REKOR VIDEO DETECTION SYSTEM” and must bear the Name and address of the proposer and be signed by a responsible officer or employee of the firm submitting the bid. All permits, Bonds and Insurance Policies are the responsibility of the Contractor and shall be supplied to the City of Torrington prior to commencement of work. Bids shall be submitted in ink in a clear, concise, and legible manner to permit proper evaluation. Contractors mailing proposals should allow for normal delivery time to ensure timely receipt of their proposals. In the case where City Hall is closed for weather related or some other emergency related circumstance, then submittals shall be due the next day when City Hall reopens for business, no later than 11:00 a.m. on that day. Proposals not clearly identified run the risk of being opened prior to the scheduled Bid Opening time. Once opened such bids are public record. All proposal submissions and materials become property of the City and will not be returned. The City of Torrington shall not be held responsible for lost or misdirected proposals. No faxed or e-mailed Proposals will be accepted. The City will not be liable for any costs incurred by a vendor in the preparation or submission of a proposal. Any alleged oral agreement made by a bidder or contractor with any agency or employee of the City of Torrington will be disregarded. All RFPs will be considered valid for a period of ninety (90) days. No bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety days of opening thereof. The ninety-day period may be extended upon written mutual agreement.
