ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF ECORSE ECORSE BOAT RAMP AND KAYAK LAUNCH RESTORATION AND MODERNIZATION PROJECT EDA AWARD NO. 06-79-06444 AEW PROJECT NO.: 0244-0034 RECEIPT OF BIDS The City of Ecorse will receive sealed bids by mail until 10:00 a.m., local time on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the offices of the City Clerk, City of Ecorse, 3869 West Jefferson Avenue, Ecorse, Michigan 48229, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work is generally described as follows: Expand Dingell Park to the south adding an additional 175 feet of promenade with new seawall, an ADA kayak, canoe and small boat launch, a launch for competitive rowing boats and a small parking lot to accommodate visitors. Additionally, as part of this project we plan to connect Dingell Park to the existing Boat Launch at Senior Park with a new 8-foot-wide pathway within the right-of-way of Jefferson Avenue and make improvements to Senior Park. Improvements at Senior

Park include reconstruction of the boat launch with a new floating launch dock, new seawalls, new park benches, new picnic tables, a looped 8- foot-wide pathway, a new fish cleaning station, a new fish catch display, and new drinking fountains. Major work items include: • Seawall install at Boat Ramp Site – 4,944 Sf • Seawall install at Kayak Launch Site – 3,720 Sf • 42” High aluminum hand rail – 400 Ft • Cofferdam – 1 Ls • Floating Dock System - complete– 1 Ls • Kayak Launch System - complete – 1 Ls • Concrete Boat Launch Pad – 2,916 Sf • Sidewalk – 8,330 Sf • Concrete pavement – 2,025 Sf • Brick Pavers – 5,382 Sf • Shelter Canopy Structure over fish cleaning station – 1 Ls • Fish Cleaning Station – 1 Ls • Riprap, Heavy, Modified (Lime Stone) – 367 Tons together with storm sewer, sanitary service, and water service removal, restoration and replacement. Landscaping, paving and other site improvements related to the work and necessary permits. A.- 2 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS Plans and specifications must be obtained through BidNet, formerly the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN), at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn, after 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Bids may be rejected unless made on the forms included with the bidding documents. BID SECURITY A certified check, or the included Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and a surety company, payable to the City of Ecorse, in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the receipt of bids. AWARD OF CONTRACT The City of Ecorse reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any irregularities in the bidding. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, payment and maintenance and guarantee bonds and insurance certificates.
