3/1/2019 Update - Posting of Questions and Answers from Industry DayThe Questions and Answers to be posted from Industry Day, held in Boise on 15 February 2019, will be delayed. The information will be posted by 8 March 2019.Thank you for your patience. 2/1/2019 Update - Notice of Planned Industry Day - Revised DateDue to the recent Government shutdown, the previous Industry Day was postponed. The USDA Forest Service will host a Mobile Food Services Industry Day on 15 February 2019 in Boise, Idaho starting at 0900 at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) in the Multi-Purpose Room in Building 300 (Jack Wilson Building), 3833 S. Development Ave. Boise, ID 83705. All interested parties are invited to attend in person. The purpose of this Industry Day is to brief all interested parties for the upcoming planned solicitation for the upcoming 2020 5-year planned contract cycle. Additionally, there will be a comprehensive Questions and Answers session to discuss all aspects of this
potential effort. A formal response to all Questions will be posted following Industry Day.Registration for the Industry Day is required by 1200 MT on 14 February 2019. Each attendee is required to register due to Security gate access restrictions at NIFC and potential space limitations. Attendance will be limited to three (3) attendees per organization. Attendees may register by providing company name, legal name of each attendee, email address and phone number for each attendee to Larry Robillard at larryrobillard@fs.fed.us. Attendees will be required to provide Government issued identification when entering the Security Gate at NIFC.Questions related to this Industry Day should be addressed via email to: Larry Robillard at larryrobillard@fs.fed.us. This announcement is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The requirement is to obtain Mobile Food Service Units at various field locations during wildland fire and other types of incidents in the contiguous western United States. The current contracts do not expire until 31 December 2019 and they will remain in effect until that time.The intent of this Special Notice is provide a draft specification to industry for review and to solicit questions or comments.
