Interested parties who have the capability to perform the above effortshould respond to this notice and identify your business size and socio-economic status asapplicable. All submissions must include full company name, Point of Contracts (POCs) to includename, position, office, and mobile telephone numbers and email address.The Servo, Roll Trim IS a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and as such requires overhaul/upgrade from anapproved source(s) in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)209.270-3, Qualification Requirements which implements the quality control provisions of aviationcritical safety items as stated in Public Law 108-136, dated November 2003.  The statute requiresthat, "the head of the contracting activity for an aviation or ship critical safety item enter intoa contract for the procurement, modification, repair, or overhaul of such item only with a sourceapproved by the design control activity".  Currently the only known approved source(s) for theoverhaul/upgrade are Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (CAGE 78286) and Kearfott Corporation (CAGE05088). Technical data toinclude a Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) is not available for this effort.Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Request (SAR) in order to become an approvedsource by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping Listprocedures.
