Amendment 0003 CIF Laundry Services

Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) firm fixed price service contract that provides Laundry Services for the Fort Hood Installation. Fort Hood is located near Killeen, Texas and consists of approximately 218,823 acres and 5,838 buildings.  The on post population consists of approximately 65,000 military, Government civilians, Contactor personnel, and resident family members.  Fort Hood supports an overall population of nearly 500,000, to include retirees, off post family members, and survivors. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Small Business under NAICS 812332 (Size Standard $41.5M).THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF CONTRACT AWARDThe purpose of this contract is to perform Laundry Services for the Fort Hood Installation.  All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, Bell County, Texas. Contract work shall be performed at

Fort Hood, Texas which consists of the Main Cantonment, and North Fort Hood areas. Fort Hood is located approximately sixty (60) miles north of Austin and fifty (50) miles south of Waco, Texas.  The main cantonment area is approximately twenty (20) miles west of Interstate Highway 35 at Belton, Texas, and adjacent to Killeen, Texas.  West Fort Hood is immediately adjacent to the main cantonment.  North Fort Hood is approximately twenty-five (25) miles north of the Main Cantonment.  Belton Lake Outdoor Recreational Area, approximately twelve (12) miles from Fort Hood, and the Doppler radar site located at Granger Lake, approximately fifty-seven (57) miles from Fort Hood.The Service Contract Act is applicable for this service requirement, FAR 52.222-43 – Fair Labor Standards Act Service C. The current Wage Determination will be posted at time of issuing the Solicitation on FBO.  An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement. Details of the site visit will be available in the solicitation.  Under this contract, the contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, facilities, equipment, utilities, materials, transportation and other services necessary, to include but not limited to, with pickup and delivery to the designated locations on Fort Hood, which consist of the Main cantonment, and North Fort Hood areas. All work stated in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and service codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract terms and conditions.The solicitation is planned to be issued sometime in May 2020 under solicitation number W91151-20-B-0001, and shall be posted to the beta.sam website (Contracting Opportunities) at https://beta.sam.gov/.  No paper copies of this solicitation will be available or provided. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to all documents.
