Notification of Intent to Sole SourceX-Ray Machine MaintenanceThe 316th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews, MD intends to award a sole source contract to Astrophysics Inc. for the preventative maintenance of the Astrophysics Inc., XIS-7858 model X-ray Machines. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the small business size standard is $22 Million.Description of the Requirement:The x-ray machines located on Joint Base Andrews, MD were purchased in 2007. Current maintenance contract expires 30 Sept 2021. This requirement is to support a new preventative maintenance support contract.1.    Requirement:a.    Preventative maintenance for three (3) Astrophysics X-Ray machines:b.    The vendor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items as required to perform maintenance.c.    The contractor shall use only new materials in the requirement.d.    The vendor shall

provide all equipment, services, materials, tools, manuals, software, expertise, supervision, quality control, transportation, travel, lodging associated with the performance of this contract.IMPORTANT NOTES:1.    This is not a request for quotes and no solicitation is available.2.    A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.3.    Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary.4.    Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this intent to sole source notice. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents.5.    Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this notice.This sole source procurement is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b).
