Description: Sidewalk Project Notice to Contractors for Central Avenue Pedestrian Improvements Sealed bids for the Central Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project - 15PW08 - TAP 5577-(635), will be received by the City of Webster Groves, #4 E. Lockwood Avenue, Webster Groves, Missouri 63119 until 10:00 o'clock A.M. (Prevailing Local Time) on the 13th day of August, 2018 at the Webster Groves City Hall, and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted on the forms provided. The proposed work includes: Constructing a new sidewalk on the South side of Central and the East side of S. Gore Avenues within the City of Webster Groves and provides for ADA curb ramps and a solar pedrestrian activated signal at the intersection of Rock Hill Road and other incidental items and work describe in the Project Manual. Hall Council Chambers. All bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher. The City of Webster Groves hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.” Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
