As per the campus standard, we would like the old system to be
replaced with two AERCO Water Wizard B+7 Helitherm Indirect Heaters. Contract is asked to install one system, put into service then isolate and demolish the old tank. Secondary heater can then be installed as to not interrupt service during normal working hours. Shipping and startup for all newly installed equipment to be included in bid. Provide Isolation for existing bundle and secondary input for new heaters. Replace bundle with two new AERCO B+7 EC110611 Helitherm Indirect Heaters to include the following: Proposed Equipment: QTY (2) Model: Helitherm Indirect Heaters which will including the following: Accessories per Model: Circulating pumps dedicated and designed to sufficiently operate with this system that can be utilized with both systems. Wiring and communications provided by contractor in conjunction with out Utility Control Shop so that the circulators and heaters can function in tandem if needed via bypass. Steam Solenoid valves and Domestic control valves with "in" switches and all wiring to be included. New circulating pumps are requested to be of the following make and model: Grundfos: Description TPE3 40-200 S-A-G-I-BQQE-GYC Grundfos TPE3 (l) pumps with stainless steel pump housing and are single- stage, close-coupled in-line centrifugal pumps with mechanical shaft seal and primarily for applications such as hot water recirculation. Contractor will need to provide and install ASHCROFT Brand liquid filled temperature and pressure gauges per campus standard for the water supply and return inlets of the tank. Individual steam regulators are desired for each system. If the existing regulators are sufficient in size and pressures they may be utilized, if not, new regulators will need to be included with the install. ASHCROFT brand nonliquid filled pressure gauges are requested to be installed for the steam supply line before and after each steam regulator for each system as well. Tie in all steam supply and condensate return lines along with necessary valves. ASHCROFT nonliquid filled pressure and temperature gauges requested downstream of the system condensate return preferably within a foot of the heater. ASHCROFT liquid filled gauges requested for temperature and pressure requested for the discharge side of circulating pumps as well. All newly installed lines to be insulated and supported properly. Once the newly installed system has been tied into the domestic supply for the building and proves to be operational at acceptable levels, tear out the existing tank and bundle. Once the tank has been removed, secondary AERCO system can be installed. Once again, requesting isolation valves for each system in order to provide uninterrupted service during hours of operation for maintenance and repair. The contractor awarded the bid may need to provide isolation valves and modify the existing supply and discharge for the system after normal hours of operation if interruption of service is necessary. Insulate and support all piping and fittings that are newly installed by the contractor. Dispose of old systems and materials. Requesting installer to provide one- year service warranty on newly installed systems.
