This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This IS NOT a request for proposal or a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge and information of potential qualified firms. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. There will be no compensation provided for any submissions provided to the Government. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualification of various members of industry, to include Large Businesses, Small Businesses and Not for Profit.The Bureau of Land Management, State of Idaho, is seeking information from certified/authorized, qualified, experienced, and interested sources

with the capacity and technical capability necessary to successfully provide John Deere brand equipment (large 4x4 tractor with horsepower rating of 245 ¿ 320 and have a Cat 3 three-point hitch), and (medium 4x4 tractor with horsepower rating of 100-140 and have a Cat 2 three-point hitch) rentals throughout the state of Idaho. During this period rented tractors would be used in rangeland rehabilitation efforts following wildland fires, to reduce fuel loading along roadsides, and improve fire suppression actions. Tractors will be working on uneven ground in areas of no to little vegetation or comprised of grass and shrub vegetation with an approximate height of three feet. Tractors will be equipped with the following equipment:¿ Tractors will be equipped with the following equipment:o Front wheel power assisto Drawbar with strap and pin fastenero Implement hydraulic connectionso Power take off (PTO)o Dual tireso Three-point hitch (draft and lift links)¿ Tractors will NOT be equipped with the following:o Fluid filled tiresThe Government will utilize this information in determining an acquisition strategy. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 532490 ¿ Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing, with a Small Business Size Standard of $35.00 Million. Please state all the socio-economic categories in which your company belongs, if any (8(a), Hub-zone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman Owned).The requirement shall provide Bureau of Land Management, Idaho, John Deere brand equipment (large 4x4 tractor with horsepower rating of 245 ¿ 320 and have a Cat 3 three-point hitch), and (medium 4x4 tractor with horsepower rating of 100-140 and have a Cat 2 three-point hitch) rental which must be accomplished by a certified and authorized John Deere dealer. Due to the emergency response application of this equipment, repairs and servicing must be to the highest standards with OEM parts and materials to ensure peak equipment operation and safety.
