Performance includes, but is not limited to, the following:Demolition as required to perform system upgrades.Replacement of four (4) reinforced fiberglass, field erected cooling towers and associated piping systems and accessories, each with a capacity of 900 gallons per minute (GPM).Replacement of four (4) main facility chillers and associated pumps and accessories, each with a capacity of 300 tons of cooling.Replacement of multiple HVAC equipment including air handling units, fan powered induction boxes, variable air volume boxes, constant volume boxes, unit heaters, exhaust fans, return fans, leak detection, circulation pumps, piping system valves, fittings and insulation.Refurbishment and replacement of all components of five (5) air handling units serving the Operations Area.Replacement and upgrade of the building automation system.Replacement of building steam humidification system.Replacement of building electrical components including transfer switches, motor starters, variable frequency drives, light fixtures, emergency lighting, wiring devices;C90 TRACON is a NAS facility, operating 24 hours per day and providing services critical to safety; therefore, work performed on or near this facility (and by extension, equipment) must be planned and conducted in a manner that minimizes or eliminates deterioration in the quality or quantity of services provided to the NAS. This may require, among other adaptations, working during non-standard business hours or using non-standard techniques to eliminate noise, obstructions to visibility from ATCTs, and shut down of equipment essential to operations.
