This contract is set to expire. Enterprise Services is developing a new solicitationto replace this contract. Contract ScopeThis Statewide Contract is for Spoken Language Interpreter Services for Over the Phone Interpreter Services (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreter Services (VRI) through on-demand and pre-scheduled options for spoken languages. Language interpretation is the method of converting a spoken message into another language, keeping the meaning of the source language content. A language interpreter must not only interpret the meaning, but also tone and intent of the source message into the target language. This Statewide Contract is constructed with two (2) categories: Category 1: OPI.Over the Phone Interpreter Services are provided through a single toll-free number accessible through typical telephone connections, such as cell phones and landlines, for one, two, or three languages. Contractor shall seek clarification as necessary from Purchaser. This can be On-Demand, or
Pre-Scheduled. Category 2: VRI.Video Remote Interpreter Services are provided through a VRI application at no additional cost to Purchaser through a web portal on a computer, smart phone, or tablet. Contractor shall ensure the VRI application is browser neutral and compatible with the most common internet browsers and operating systems. Contractor must also ensure capability with older versions, preferably three (3) historical versions of the common internet browsers and operating systems. This can be On-Demand, or Pre-Scheduled. This contract is part of the Language Access Program. Information about the services we offer under the suite of Language Access Program Statewide Contracts can be found on the DES website under Language Access Contractsand the Language Access Guide. Secondary Contract OptionPlease use the contractors on this Contract as your primary option. The NASPO Cooperative is a secondary option to provide additional contractors that we currently do not have on this Contract. The secondary options can be found under Contract 09821. How to Use this Contract 1. Review the Awarded Contractor Information section below to find pricing, product offerings, location, and contact information for each Contractor. 2. Contractors may not provide services outside of the scope of their respective category modalities. 3. When setting up an account with the contractor, placing an order or doing other business under this contract, reference the DES contract unique identifier number. 4. Contact the contractor sales representatives directly to consult about their products and/or services, quotes, and place orders. 5. Payment for services is paid for by the Purchaser’s fiscal department. 6. Contact the Contract Administrator listed below with any further questions. DES has ensured this procurement meets RCW 39.26, follows current State of Washington Procurement Policies, follows DES procurement process, and DES has determined that entering into this contract will be in the best interest of the State of Washington.
