Design/Build Construction Services for USCG Air Station Kodiak to Repair Hangar I Fire Protection SystemsCLOSING DATE: JANUARY 29, 2018 AT 2:00 P.M. PACIFIC TIME, SEATTLE, WAThe scope of work includes both the design and the construction of modifications to existing USCG facilities. In general: In Hangar 1, USCG Base Kodiak demolish the existing high bay sprinkler and deluge systems, and install a new wet pipe sprinkler protection and a high expansion foam (HEF) system. Replace the existing addressable fire alarm system with a Base Kodiak standard King Fisher conventional fire alarmsystem. Modify Building 24 to house fire pumping equipment. Install firesuppression system piping between Hangar 1 and Building 24. Perform otherwork; including environmental services, abatement, inspections andassessments of existing facilities, demolition and restoration of affectedareas, including re-paving a parking lot affected by excavation.The design effort will require Alaskan experience and/or
registration for the Designer of Record, the Fire Protection Engineer (AK PE), environmental professional meeting the requirements of 18 AAC 75.333, and a Historic Professional.Design/Build repairs to the Kodiak Hangar I Fire detection and protection systems, as described, at USCG Air Station Kodiak, AK. In Hangar I, demolish the existing ceiling deluge system, install new wet pipe ceiling sprinkler protection and a high expansion foam (HEF) system.
