Notice of Intent - Sole Source

This notice announces the intent by the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG) to procure multiple parts via sole source through a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to HDT Expeditionary Systems, Inc., 30500 Aurora Rd., Suite 100, Solon, OH 44139-2795, without competition as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b). The purchase of these equipment parts will ensure the status of several vehicles and pieces of equipment being mission capable for XCTC in support 53rd IBCT BDE Co. The parts are needed to bring TMSS generators to a Fully Mission Capable (FMC) status. The TMSS generators are needed to support brigade and battalion TOC operations as our unit goes to several training evaluations. HDT Expeditionary Systems, Inc., is the only vendor known to engineer, fabricate, assemble, test, and put into employment the required parts. Purchasing these multiple parts from the original manufacturer of existing equipment ensure the FLARNG has interoperability between the existing equipment and the new

equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 335312 - Motor and Generator Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees, and PSC 2920. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102 and 5.203. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects at least ten (10) days after the publication of this notice, the award will be issued as a sole source requirement to HDT Expeditionary Systems, Inc.
