Summary * Due to adverse weather conditions and road closure we will accept digital submittals. Hard copies may be requested at a later date. The County of Mono, California, is seeking a qualified environmental consulting firm to administer a defined hydrologic data collection and monitoring program to be conducted in connection with a geothermal complex located in Mammoth Lakes, California. This complex is operated by Ormat Nevada Inc. (Ormat), and consists of four units, G1, G2, G3 and Casa Diablo IV (CD4). Administering the program would principally require the environmental consultant to develop a sampling and analysis plan, conduct hydrologic sampling and monitoring activities, and submit biannual and annual data report summaries. The initial term is 12 months, with the option to renew for three additional one-year terms. The project is to conduct hydrologic sampling and monitoring activities, and generate biannual and annual data summary reports describing the hydrologic
conditions at units G1-G3 and CD4. Specifically, the goals of the project are to: (1) establish an internal sampling plan on an annual basis to ensure all sampling and monitoring activities are carried out consistent with the Governing Documents (Mono County Use Permit OIE-02-86; the 1989 United States Forest Service Record of Decision For PLES I Geothermal Project Plan of Development, Injection, and Utilization on Geothermal Lease Number CA 11667; the 1989 Settlement Agreement And Mutual Release among the California Department of Fish and Game, the County of Mono, Mammoth-Pacific and Pacific Energy; and the Plan for Hydrologic Monitoring of Thermal and Nonthermal Water Resources of the Long Valley Caldera, Mono County, California For the Long Valley Hydrologic Advisory Committee dated October, 1987, Revised January 1988); (2) conduct quarterly and annual sampling and monitoring activities pursuant to applicable USGS methods; (3) compile and submit data to the Mammoth Complex hydrologic data portal; and (4) prepare biannual and annual summary reports reflecting data obtained through sampling and monitoring activities.
