This requirement is to purchase Invasive Plant Species Control Services for Arnold Air Force Base. Arnold Air Force Base (AAFB) located in middle TN encompasses nearly 40,000 acres of lands, waters, and infrastructure which supports the base’s engineering and research mission. Installation lands contain a variety of plant communities, including wetlands and habitats that support rare, threatened, and endangered species. The focus of this requirement is to control invasive plant species within those plant communities. The base primarily uses prescribed burns to control invasive plants in some areas, but herbicide applications are needed to further eradicate and control the spread of invasive plants. As such, the work to be carried out under this requirement is to apply herbicides to 1,400 acres in Management Units determined by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to be in need of treatment. The herbicides are to be mixed off-site, transported to base, applied, and either fully used or leftover chemical to be transported off base and disposed of IAW label directions. No herbicides are to be stored on base or any waste containers left. Treated acreage not to exceed the original scope of 1,400 acres. In carrying out work issued in this requirement, the contractor shall furnish the personnel, services, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, facilities supervision, travel and other requirements necessary for, or incidental to, the performance of work set forth herein; assure any and all program and/or project related costing information (regardless of its stage in development) is secured, as directed by the Contracting Officer
