The firm preferably will be prequalified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the following: a) Roadway Construction Engineering Inspection b) Construction Material Inspection The CEI CONSULTANT shall provide necessary qualified personnel, equipment, and services to ensure that the Project is constructed in accordance with the Plans, Specifications, and Construction Contract between the City of Fort Myers (CITY) and Contractor. The CEI CONSULTANT shall utilize the CITY’S Technical Specifications and Standard Details, the Florida Department of Transportation Material Sampling, Testing and Reporting Guide, and the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition. The selected CEI CONSULTANT shall have strong experience in managing and inspecting new roadway/reconstructed roadway projects involving clearing and grubbing, demolition, underground conduits, sanitary sewers, waterlines, storm drainage, roadways, sidewalks, curb and gutter, striping, and rapid rectangular flashing beacons (RRFBs).
