Bid Title:Call for Art Proposals: Exterior flower sculptures Category:OpenStatus:Open Description: Public Art Project: Exterior Flower SculpturesDescription: The City of Arlington is seeking letters of interest from artists with experience creating large-size, durable, exterior sculptures. The project strives to beautify public property along Smokey Point Boulevard in the Smokey Point community of Arlington. We are seeking flower sculptures. Possibly, one or two cluster of 3 to 5 colorful flowers, from 10 to 12 feet tall. The desired area for the sculptures is located next to city parking area, in front of Fields Memory Care and Senior Living. Budget: This project is funded in the City of Arlington’s 2023 Public Art Fund. The total budget is $49,000, which must include taxes, structural engineering and installation of the artwork. The City may pay $500 to two artists to make proposals. Timeline: Letters of Interest must be submitted by April 1. The selected artist(s) will be notified by April 15. Final proposal will be due by May 15. If awarded, the sculptures must be completed and installed before the end of 2023.Proposals:Interested parties should submit a letter of interest, samples of work, and proposal of quantity and fee.
