IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT.”Requirement:Identify current domestic (US/Canada) primary explosive manufacturers for commercial applications as well as those for both commercial and the US Department of Defense.  The Government is seeking interested vendors for the development of a pilot scale / manufacturing process of DBX-1 primary explosives. The Technical Data packages (TDPs) of the precursor material, NaNT and final product, DBX-1 will be shared for the purpose of using the government owned process.  The Government requires a prototype process that is capable of producing DBX-1, with demand of 3000-3500 lbs. per year.  Along with this prototype process, the Government is also seeking test capabilities as per qualification matrix and test in items such as detonators, primers, blasting caps and grenade and fuzes.  Cost share of fifty percent (50%) is expected, to the maximum extent practicable.The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325920 with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. The Product Service Code is AD92. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement.SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements of the Technical Services.
