Crawler Crane

The Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate an Invitation for Bid for one (1) crawler crane for use on a newly constructed barge servicing the Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District. The crane shall be capable of performing lock gate placement, and debris and rock removal/placement.The new crawler crane shall be built in accordance with the minimum standards of ASME B 30.5 – Mobile and Locomotive Cranes and ASME/ANSI B30.8 - Floating Cranes and Floating Derricks and ASME B30.23 – Personnel LiftingThe crawler crane shall have the following characteristics:Crawler CraneMain Boom Length ­– 140-145 feetAll operations to be performed with a single counterweight configurationHeavy Lift93,000 lbs at 60 ft radius with 3 degree machine listHook speed – 60 ft per minuteDuty Cycle50,000 lbs at 100 ft radius 3 degree machine listHook speed – 60 ft per minuteThe following attachments shall be provided:6 cubic yard rip-rap rock scoop6 cubic yard extra
