The National Institutes of Health intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Howard University.The National Eye Institute intends to procure Service Renewal for Glaucoma Consult/Surgical Services with NEI patients for One base year plus Three option periods. The contractor will perform consultative services as a glaucoma specialist. Duties to include: seeing patients independently and in conjunction with clinical fellows, surgical management as primary surgeon or assisting the clinical fellows depending on the specific needs of the patient.ResponsesThe proposed acquisition action is for items and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based
upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
