Elbow Harbour Recreation Site - Erosion Protection Infrastructure Synopsis:
Facilities Branch of the Parks Division within the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport (the Ministry), has responsibility for the management, long-term planning, design and delivery of the Provincial Parks capital program.
Elbow Harbour Recreation Site (EHRS) is located just outside of Elbow, Saskatchewan along Lake Diefenbaker and has a marina. Part of the marina is a timber retaining wall that
acts as both the erosion protection of park lands as well as the access point to some of the marina docks. Built in 1979, the retaining wall has deteriorated to a point where it has reached the end of its useful life. The Ministry has identified the retaining wall as a priority for assessment and replacement under the capital infrastructure program.
The Ministry is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering consultants to provide the services detailed in this RFP for replacement of the existing infrastructure. The successful proponent of this RFP will provide the Ministry with technical services such as assessments, recommendations, detailed design, technical specifications, material quantities, and cost estimates. Subject to approval, it is anticipated that the replacement of EHRS retaining wall will be completed over two phases. Phase 1 (Design) is anticipated to commence in July of 2017. Phase 2 (Construction) is tentatively scheduled to commence in 2018. Please refer to the RFP for additional information.
The Ministry reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals.
