Intergranular Corrosion Testing of Aluminum Test Samples

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not otherwise be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government is requesting quotes for the performance of Intergranular Corrosion Testing of 64 aluminum test samples (2024-T3 alloy) via etching using Keller’s reagent (metallurgical) and metallurgically to examine provided test specimens under 40X magnification (or as appropriate) using appropriate equipment in accordance with USDA, Forest Service Specification FS 5100-304d, section 4.4.2 (Attached after page 31 of solicitation 1202SC22Q2901).  Test samples provided will have been pre-exposed to co-mingled Long-Term Retardant products.  Vendor shall provide all labor, test site, test equipment, and expertise necessary to accomplish the testing as described in Section 2 of the Solicitation. Final Report with all data and findings to be sent electronically via email by no later than 05/15/2022.
