SummarySTATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe City of West Sacramento is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals ("Proposer") to provide a new public art installation as part of the Southport Levee Trailhead Project. The City is seeking artists or artist teams with experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of public artworks that will serve to expand access to public art, foster way-finding and make available artwork of the highest quality to enhance the quality of life for trailhead patrons and ensure long-term enjoyment and maintenance sustainability. . Incorporated in 1987, West Sacramento encompasses approximately 22 square miles, with a population just over 53,000 people. The City is full-service with nine (9) departments and over 400 full-time employees.
