Norfolk District Pier RenovationsIndustry Day 20 JANUARY 2023The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District would like to invite Industry Contractors to participate in an Industry Day for the Norfolk District Pier Renovation project located in Norfolk, Virginia.Industry Day will be held in-person at USACE Norfolk District (803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA 23510) as well as via webinar on JANUARY 20, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The Norfolk District will provide a conference webinar link and conference call-in information to all interested participants who properly RSVP by the due date. The first portion of the Industry Day will present the DRAFT PLANS/SPECS, review the project presentation, as well as provide the opportunity for Questions/Answers. The second portion of the Industry Day will be conducted at the USACE Norfolk District Pier, to allow Industry to see the construction site.All interested attendees must pre-register by e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Stormie Wicks,

Email requests beyond the due date will not be accepted. Telephone requests will not be accepted. The registration email must include the name of all attendees, company name, day-time telephone number, email address, and your relation to the dredging industry as a reason for attendance. The purpose and focus of the event will be to seek Industry input and questions regarding best practices for the technical execution of the Norfolk District Pier project. The event will include a presentation by Norfolk District staff members giving current information regarding scope of work, safety, dredging restrictions and related topics.Copies of draft technical documents and plans will be added to this announcement prior to the Industry Day. The Government will not be conducting one-on-one discussion related to any potential contract or on-going work under contract during this event. This announcement is not a contract solicitation, request for proposal, or a commitment to offer work of any kind on the part of the Government. The Army Corps of Engineers will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses for marketing efforts.
