The City of Campbell’s network switching equipment has reached end of life and
is in need of replacement. The current switching equipment is a combination of
HP and Dell managed and unmanaged network switching equipment. The
requirements for increased security, network capacity and expected hardware
obsolescence require the city to acquire current technology and build a solid and
sustainable foundation for future technology demands such as hosted telephony,
SaaS and IaaS, and evolving requirements for government transparency through
open data portals.
