CIVIL AEROSPACE MEDICAL INSTITUTE (CAMI) SMALL BUSINESS INDUSTRY DAY TOUR NOVEMBER 16, 2023 The Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) is the medical certification, aerospace human factors and aerospace medical research, aerospace medical education and occupation health wing of the FAA’s Office of Aerospace Medicine whose goal is to enhance aviation safety. Under the leadership of CAMI’s director, Dr. Melchor Antunano – the Institutes diligent staff of researchers, physicians, medical specialists, engineers, educators, pilots, technicians, program managers and analysis’ provide synergistic support of products and services offered throughout the National Air Space (NAS). As a result, Americans and international travelers travel safely and routinely across the United States and indeed the World. CAMI is offering a Small Business Industry Day Tour of CAMI’s research facilities for interested parties/potential vendors seeking acquisition / contract opportunities listed on the
governments Procurement Forecast (https://www.transportation.gov/osdbu/procurement-assistance/summary-forecast). Parties are invited and strongly encouraged to attend the CAMI Tour on November 16, 2023, between 08:30 AM CST-12:00 PM CT to best understand the nature of the work performed by CAMI professionals and the potential for contract opportunities. All Parties must understand that all costs associated with attendance will not be reimbursed by the government and the sole responsibility of the attendees. There is no procurement attached to this announcement. Email questions or interest must be sent to Katharine McCauley, Senior Business Officer (email: katharine.mccauley@faa.gov) by close of business Tuesday, October 31st, 2023, by 3:00 PM CT. Limited space is Available/ Attendees are allowed to send a maximum of two (2) individuals to represent their company. Total attendees are limited to 40/45. Small Business entities are preferred / large business will be considered. Please provide a capability statement and information about your company. You MUST Register to attend this Industry Day. Please see registration process below.Please note the attached Tentative Schedule of CAMI Tour. Katharine McCauley will send out Site Visit information on November 6th, 2023, CT to ONLY to those that have provided the required response information. Your request should include thefollowing information:(1) Name of company represented(2) Name and title of representative(3) Phone number of representative(4) Email address of representative.Instruction below for companies who registered for the Industry Day:Registered attendees for the Industry Day must proceed to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Visitor’s Center just outside the main west entrance gate on South Regina Avenue. Please DO NOT try to enter the main west entrance gate as you need an escort required badge prior to entering the MMAC. NOTE: During the Industry Day, the FAA will not be providing transportation to the CAMI Building; therefore, offerors will be required to register their vehicles and provide documentation (Vehicle Registration & Insurance) in order to travel to the CAMI building. This is going to be a large industry day, so please bring ONE (1) car per company. IMPORTANT INFO:In accordance with AC 1600.86, Visitor Control, and FAA Order 1600.69C, all visitors to the MMAC are required to have a valid form of government issued identification.
