Scope of Work:
Scope includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the demolition of the Border Control Building located at North Perry Airport (HWO), including, but not limited to the demolition of the main office building, warehouse/garage building, covered parking canopies, high pole lighting fixtures, and dumpster enclosure (including concrete foundations and slabs), and the loading and transportation of waste material to permitted off-site facilities. The majority of the site is paved with either concrete or asphalt.


Goal Participation:
This solicitation is reserved for

Broward County certified Small Business Enterprises. Refer to the Office of Economic and Small Business Development Requirements Section for additional information.


County/State License Requirements:
In order to be considered a responsive and responsible Vendor for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation, the Vendor must possess a specified license at the time of submittal (refer to Special Instructions for requirements).


Questions and Answers:
The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through BidSync by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda).  The County will respond to all questions via Periscope.
 
BidSync is now known as "Periscope S2G, Supplier-To-Government" for vendors. Any reference to BidSync in this

solicitation shall refer to "Periscope S2G, Supplier-To-Government."

Vendor MUST submit its solicitation response electronically and MUST confirm its submittal in order for the County to receive a valid response through Periscope. Refer to the
Purchasing Division website
or contact Periscope for submittal instructions. It is the Vendor’s sole responsibility to assure its response is submitted and received through Periscope by the date and time specified in the solicitation. The County will not consider solicitation responses received by other means.
Vendors are encouraged to submit their responses in advance of the due date and time specified in the solicitation document. In the event that the Vendor is having difficulty submitting the solicitation document through Periscope, immediately notify the Purchasing Agent and then contact Periscope for technical assistance.

Addendum No. 1.
The Question and Answer period is being extended to March 4, 2022 at 5:00 PM.

Bid Comments, Scope of Work:
After the demolition process is complete, the areas where the foundations have been removed shall be filled with clean sand fill to meet the adjacent level grade.
 

The document titled, ‘Specifications and Requirements’, has been deleted and replaced in its entirety with the attached ‘Specifications and Requirements’ Addendum’. The specific revision was to the Scope of Work, page 4, :“…The majority of the site is paved with either concrete or Asphalt”.

A site visit has been scheduled for this solicitation. The site visit date and time is February 23, 2022, promptly at 3:00 PM.The vendor is cautioned that, although the site visit is optional, no modification or any changes will be allowed in the pricing because of the failure of the vendor(s) to have visited the site. Job site visitation is strongly recommended; submission of a bid will be construed that the vendor is acquainted sufficiently with the work to be performed. The vendor is also recommended to bring their own flashlight. If you require any auxiliary aids for communication, please call 357 -6066 so that arrangements can be made in advance.

Vendors are not required to enter the vacant building during the site visit.  However, signature of a Hold Harmless Agreement will be required by a vendor prior to entering the vacant building.

The site visit date has been changed from February 23, 2022 to March 3, 2022 promptly at 3:00 PM.

The bid end date has been extended to March 16, 2022 at 2:00PM.

prepared by either a certified hazardous materials manager and/or industrial hygienist.
