NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, (DVA), Regional Procurement Office East, ( NCO -7) Services Team 2, Tucker, GA received a Sole Source justification for the purchase of Optos Retinal Camera needed for Hinesville and Savannah facilities to standardize care and to provide complete exams for patients with retinal disease/deficiencies to Optos, Inc dba MellingMedical, 500 Nickerson Road Suite 201 Marlborough, MA 01752 USA. This procurement is for the acquisition of a sole source commercial items using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. A10650-RG 1 Optos California RG (P200DTX) (Part Number: A10650-RG) FEATURE_A1065 50_05 - CALI 2 Optos Dicom Modality Worklist (MWL) and Live Store to Third Party PACS The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 339112, with a business size standard of 1000 Employees. a. Only one responsible source and no other item will satisfy the DVA Hinesville and Savannah clinics retinal

camera requirement. b. Optos, Inc is the only approved source for Optos Silverstone Retinal Camera warranties and services and/or preventative maintenance capable of maintaining the Retinal Camera used at the DVA Hinesville and Savannah clinics. There is no other vendor that can supply this proprietary equipment to meet the DVA retinal camera requirements. c. This request is issued for the DVA Hinesville and Savannah clinics. Optos, Inc., is the only known source that meets the DVA requirements. Contract period of performance is July 22, 2021 July 21, 2022. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. DO NOT submit a bid/quote at this time. Any offerors believing, they can provide the required Optos, Inc equipment and warranties and services and/or preventative maintenance with all the features and functions of the requirement described above may provide evidence for consideration. Evidence must support the offeror's claim they can provide this brand name or equal. All qualified sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by this agency. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement can be conducted.  A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received NLT 11:59 am Daylight Standard Time (DST) on 19 July 2021. Responses received after this will be considered late IAW FAR 52.212-1(f) and will not be evaluated.
