M1425-1001 MT ICS 425, 6 kg, NA Plug Kit 4.0USDA ARS, WHRNC requires a DASbox® Mini Bioreactor System to perform fermentations with different human biological replicates under identical conditions. In order to achieve this goal, they need to be able to perform parallel processing of at least 4 fermentations simultaneously. During fermentation, they also to measure the concentration (optical density) of bacteria, and both measure and control the gas mixture, temperature, pH, and redox state of the fermentation as it progresses. Monitoring all of these processes consistently is dependent on effective mixing of the culture during fermentation. Because the Location will be using human samples, it is necessary for the fermentation system to accommodate vessels that can be reliably sterilized and accept small volumes so that sample is not wasted. It is also essential to the robustness of their ongoing research observations that they receive reliable set-up and training for use of the fermentation system. Finally, the Location needs to minimize the bench space occupied by this instrument & to maintain accessible space for other functions within the lab.Along with FAR Part 12 & FAR Subpart 13.106 procedures, pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETTIVE QUOTES; a determination, by the Government, not to compete this proposed order/contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
