R:2024-056 Request for Bids for the Carranza Park Detention Pond Drainage Improvements Due May 8, 2024, 2:00 PM CST The City of Del Rio is interested in obtaining sealed bids on work to be done for the CARRANZA PARK DETENTION POND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS. Sealed bids will be received up to May 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM CST. All bids received by that time will then be opened and publicly read aloud at the City Council Chambers located at 109 W Broadway St. Del Rio, TX 78840. Any bids received after closing time will be returned unopened. Sealed bids must be addressed as follows: City of Del Rio Attention: Maria C. Broadway St. Del Rio, TX 78840 CARRANZA PARK DETENTION POND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PRINCIPAL CONSTRUCTION INCLUDES DETENTION POND EXCAVATION, DITCH EXCAVATION, CONCRETE CHANNEL, FENCING, CONCRETE WORK, CONCRETE BOX CULVERTS AND MISCELLANIOUS WORK. Any questions on this

project must be submitted via e-mail to purchasing@cityofdelrio.com. Bidders shall submit with their bids a Cashier's Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum total bid, payable to the City of Del Rio, Texas without recourse, or a Proposal Bond in the same amount from a reliable Surety Company as a guarantee that Bidder will enter into a contract and execute payment and performance bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) days after the award of Contract. Bids without check or Proposal Bond will not be considered. The successful Bidder must furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Surety and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rates as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin. All suppliers, vendors, etc. who are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. The City of Del Rio reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
