The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking bids from qualified firms (the “Bidder” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and bids will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva), to be received no later than Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm (local prevailing time).The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor for the construction of a new mast arm traffic signal and pedestrian signals at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Pavilion Place. This a Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) supported project, administered through the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), and will be governed by VDOT technical specifications, standards, manuals, and guides.
