Durham Fire House Plumbing Renovations Durham, CT 00 11 16-1 Invitation to Bid SECTION 00 11 16 INVITATION TO BIDDERS Plumbing Renovation Work At Durham Fire House Durham, CT 06422 Sealed bids will be received in triplicate by the Town of Durham Office of the First Selectman 30 Town House Road for the Fire House PLUMBING RENOVATION WORK at 41 Main Street., Durham, CT, until 2:00 PM, Friday, March 31, 2023 at 30 Town House Road Durham, CT. 06422, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work required shall include the following: Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals necessary for the complete plumbing, electrical & interior renovations at the Durham Fire House located at 41 Main Street in Durham CT. The renovations include complete interior renovations for plumbing, electrical, & finish renovations to Toilet rooms, Bathrooms, & Kitchen and all other requirements as specified in the contract documents. The contractor shall

be responsible to provide all labor, materials required to provide all incidental construction as required by the contract documents. Also required by the contractor is to provide a GPR survey and a camera survey to verify the location Of all underground plumbing lines. General and Subcontract Bids shall consist of but are not limited to: general construction for all renovation items, carpentry, interior renovations, plumbing work, electrical work, and all other work necessary for, or incidental to, the full completion of the entire project, including all equipment, labor, material, and incidentals in connection therewith. The Contractor shall be required to submit with the Bid a Schedule of Values on AIA Document G703. Schedule of Values shall include all individual line items required by the individual specification sections of the Contract Documents. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and sureties in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid or a certified check equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract. The Town of Durham is exempt from all Federal, State, and Municipal taxes. The Town of Durham reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids, when such action is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
