Upgrades and Repairs, Weapon Systems

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) issued a solicitation for a sole source, follow on, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with the ability to issue both Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) type delivery orders to MOOG, Inc., East Aurora, NY.  The contract awarded provided for upgrades and repairs of Precision Strike Package (PSP) Gun Weapon Systems (GWS) actuator sets onboard fielded Battle Management Systems (BMS) platforms.  The requirement was solicited in accordance with the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), “Only One Responsible Source.”  This support was provided to the Navy under contract N00178-15-D-1011 by MOOG, Inc., 300 Jamison Road, East Aurora, NY 14052. Only MOOG (the awardee), has specialized knowledge and expertise to support this effort.  Specifically, MOOG has proprietary data rights on the development and build-up of motor control software and units utilized as part of the existing GWS
