Request for Interested Manufacturers 5895-01-605-1998TM Receiver-Transmitter5895-01-626-5184TM Receiver-TransmitterSUBJECT:Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Receiver-Transmitters, NSN5895-01-605-1998TM, PN 5188636-120 and NSN 5895-01-626-5184TM, PN 5188638-110.ITEM DESCRIPTIONThe Receiver-Transmitters are used on the RQ-4 Global Hawk's Multi-Platform Radar Technology Insertion Program (MP-RTIP) payload system. This aircraft is part of the integrated Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) constellation Providing accurate, timely, decision-quality and critical information to decision-makers, shooters and other warfighters. The Reciever- Transmitters are part of MP-RTIP synthetic aperture radar used to track and monitor ground targetsin order to enhance situational awareness and battlefield management.IMPEDIMENT TO
COMPETITION:The original equipment manufacturer for these items is Raytheon Company. (CAGE 4U884), which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, the Raytheon Company is the only known source with adequate knowledge of these Receiver-Transmitters performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment.INTERESTThe DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon for the manufacture of these Receiver-Transmitters in support of the RQ-4 Global Hawk program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10 October 2022 by emailing Matthew Kennedy (
