ACTIVITY BACKGROUND The U.S. Agency for International Development's Mission to Djibouti (USAID/Djibouti) is in the preliminary stages of designing a new activity, henceforth referred to as “the New Basic Education Activity” or simply “the activity”, to support Djibouti’s efforts to improve inclusive, equitable access to quality basic education. The activity will serve as a follow-on to the current Djibouti Early Grade Reading Activity (DEGRA) described below. The Mission anticipates that the activity will be implemented over a period of up to five years.
