Alaska Native Language Preservation & Advisory Council taking public testimony

The ALASKA NATIVE LANGUAGE PRESERVATION and ADVISORY COUNCIL
will hold a Listening Session public meeting by teleconference on October 19th, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. as part of the First Alaskans Institute's Elders & Youth Conference. Members of the public are invited to attend virtually and share their testimony on

In April 2012, the Alaska Legislature passed Senate Bill 130 authorizing the formation of the Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council. In May, the Governor signed the bill into law and the first Council members were appointed in October 2012.AS 44.33.520.
